Same day or next day appointment requests are given, based upon availability. New patients are always welcome.
Please be aware that is the patient's responsibility to secure a referral for cardiology care from their primary care physician. Failure to verify approval for office visits and procedures may result in substantial costs to the patient or cancellation of the appointment.
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 48 hours notice. This courtesy on your part will make it possible to give your appointment to another patient. If you fail to cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged a missed appointment fee.
Our office provides on-call service for emergencies, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Realizing that you can have an emergency arise, we will do our best to respond to your problem promptly. In the event of a severe situation. go immediately to the hospital and ask that Dr. Goldman be contacted. If the situation is not that severe but one for which you wish urgent contact with the doctor, please telephone (703) 698-5556, clearly state the nature and urgency of your problem and Dr. Goldman will be notified immediately.
Please feel free to discuss medical costs with our office billing staff. It is the policy of Cardiovascular Care to submit claims to insurance carriers on behalf of our patients. We will ask to see your insurance card at each visit to help avoid errors. Patients are responsible for co-payments at the time of service. We accept cash, check, MasterCard/Visa. Please be aware that federal regulations require us to collect all co-payments and bill for all services.
We participate with most insurance plans.
Prescriptions and/or refill requests should be obtained at the time of your appointment. If you do not have an appointment, prescription refills will be processed within 48 hours. For prescription refills, we ask that you call the pharmacy and ask them to FAX the request to our office at (703) 807-0082. This will facilitate your request in a timelier manner. Once Dr. Goldman has authorized the refill, it will be forwarded to your pharmacy. If a new prescription is required, please allow 3 business days for mailing. Indicate whether you need a 30 -day or a 90 -day prescription. If there is a problem with the request, you will be notified by one of our staff members. If you have not been by Dr. Goldman within the last twelve months, no prescription refills will be issued. It will be necessary for you to schedule an office visit with Dr. Goldman in order for your prescription to be renewed.
Telephone Calls to Dr. Goldman
All patients are encouraged to call with any questions they have regarding medical problems. However, it would be unfair to our patients if Dr. Goldman were to leave during their visit to answer every telephone call. Your message will be relayed to the doctor and he will return your call as soon as possible. In some instances he will ask the office staff to respond on his behalf.
