Dr. Michael Goldman has been practicing medicine since 1975 and in the Arlington area since 1991. He is on staff at Virginia Hospital Center and Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Dr.
Michael Goldman, originally from Philadelphia, graduated magna cum
laude from Haverford College with a B.A. degree, having
majored in both Philosophy and Psychology. He received his M.D.
degree from Yale University School of Medicine in
1975.
While
at Yale he decided to specialize in cardiovascular disease and
obtained a research grant in cardiac ultrasound. He then
completed five years of post-graduate training at Georgetown
University Hospital, in Washington, D.C., including a cardiology
fellowship. Following his fellowship he served three years
as an attending cardiologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center,
attaining the rank of major.
His
clinical experience includes extensive work in interventional
techniques, including:

Stenting

Pacemaker
Implantation
Though
his expertise involves highly technical areas, his cardiology
practice emphasizes personalized patient care and a preventive approach to
heart disease.
Dr.
Goldman has served as the program director of Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Training at Virginia Hospital Center where he continues to be active in the
resident teaching program. He has also served as the medical director,
and continues to be on staff at the
Adult Congenital Heart Clinic at the Virginia Heart Center
affiliated with Inova Fairfax Hospital in
Falls Church, Virginia. Since 1981, Dr. Goldman has been an Associate
Clinical Professor at Georgetown University.

area. He himself is an accomplished artist with paintings in
numerous collections throughout the United States. He is a
member of numerous cultural organizations. In an attempt to
be an inspiration to his patients, he has completed the Marine
Corps Marathon and remains an avid tennis player and swimmer.
